Meet Kyle Benton, DDS, FAACP

I am Kyle Benton, DDS, FAACP — a Fellow of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and one of the few clinicians in Northwest Arkansas practicing exclusively in temporomandibular disorders, craniofacial pain, and sleep breathing disorders. I do not practice general dentistry. This is all I do.

Most of the patients who find me have already seen three, five, sometimes ten other providers. They have been told their imaging looks normal, their pain is stress-related, or that nothing can be done. I know that story well because I lived a version of it myself. That experience is exactly why I built this practice the way I did.

If you are coming to me from Rogers, Bentonville, Fayetteville, Springdale, or anywhere else across Northwest Arkansas, I want you to know one thing before your first appointment: I will take your history seriously, I will look for the root cause, and I will give you an honest assessment of what I can and cannot do for you. That is what a specialist owes every patient.

Education & Experience

I understand TMD and sleep-breathing disorders from both sides of the chair. For many years, I personally struggled with TMJ dysfunction and sleep apnea. I dealt with debilitating headaches, neck and back pain, and poor-quality sleep. That experience changed the trajectory of my career. It forced me to look deeper, ask better questions, and pursue answers beyond traditional dentistry.

I have been practicing dentistry since 2010. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2009, then completed an AEGD post-graduate residency with an emphasis on comprehensive care and TMD. Early in my general dentistry career, I realized there was a much greater need for providers who truly understand the complexity of craniofacial pain and sleep-breathing disorders.

Since 2014, I have completed hundreds of hours of advanced continuing education focused specifically on TMD, craniofacial pain, airway, and sleep medicine. I am currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP) and have advanced training in Functional Dental Orthopedics and breathing-focused therapies. I am also a pending Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), further strengthening my commitment to comprehensive airway-centered care.

My focus is not just symptom relief. It is identifying the root cause, restoring proper function, and improving overall health and quality of life. I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of patients regain hope by addressing the underlying drivers of their pain and sleep issues rather than masking them.

This work is personal for me. And that perspective shapes how I care for every patient who walks through our doors.

Outside of the Office

Outside the office, my greatest role is being a husband to my wife, Amberlee, and a dad to our three kids-Brayden, Oakes, and Magnolia. Family is everything to me. We try to be intentional about spending time together, whether that’s traveling, being outdoors, or just slowing down and enjoying dinner around the table.

We’re active members at Cross Church Pinnacle Hills, and our faith is a big part of how I lead my home and run my practice.

I’ve always loved the outdoors-hunting, fishing, floating, hiking-anything that gets us outside and moving. Over the last several years, I’ve also become very focused on optimizing my health and performance. I train regularly with strength workouts and incorporate recovery tools like infrared sauna, red light and near-infrared therapy, cold exposure, and Wim Hof breathwork. I enjoy learning about biohacking and applying what works-not just for myself, but for my patients and my kids.

At the end of the day, I’m just trying to live with intention, lead well, and build a life my family is proud of.
